THE 2026 SCENT EDIT : SIGNATURES SCENTS FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

A Fragrance selection curated by Massimo M. Møller

There’s something symbolic about choosing a fragrance at the start of a new year.
A scent sets a direction — a mood, an intention, a version of yourself you’re ready to step into.

As 2026 approaches, I’m drawn to fragrances with dimension, warmth, and a quiet yet undeniable depth.
Scents that accompany you like a mood — atmospheric, intimate, and transformative.

These are the fragrances speaking to me right now.

MATIÈRE PREMIÈRE – Encens Suave (Extrait de Parfum)

The sensual resinous one — and my winter signature

Encens Suave is incense reimagined: warm, smoky, sensual, and deeply comforting.
Built around Somalian incense, Madagascan vanilla, benzoin, and a subtle coffee absolute, the extrait concentration adds a richer amber-resin depth and an enveloping glow.

My personal note:
This fragrance feels sacred. It evokes quiet places, spiritual spaces, and the comforting silence of rituals. It grounds me — like a soft, glowing presence throughout winter.

Personality: grounding, intimate, timeless.

HUGO BOSS – Exhilarating Vanilla (Privee Collection)

The modern vanilla with a familiar, addictive twist

Exhilarating Vanilla blends tobacco warmth, soft woods, and a refined sweetness that never becomes too gourmand.
Surprisingly sophisticated and beautifully balanced.

My personal note:
On my skin, it recalls Tabac 21 by Le Labo — sharing that tobacco glow, smoky cleanliness, and addictive elegance. Not a replica, but emotionally aligned in a very comforting way.

Personality : familiar yet elevated — modern quiet luxury in vanilla form.

TOM FORD – Tuscan Leather

The iconic, intoxicating, unapologetic one

A defining fragrance of modern luxury.
Dark leather, raspberry, saffron, and a smoky-suede warmth give Tuscan Leather its unmistakable signature. It fills a room without forcing itself.

My personal note:
This is architectural confidence. A scent that structures the atmosphere around you — bold, polished, self-assured, but always elegant. Never loud, always intentional.

Personality : commanding, elegant, modern luxury at its sharpest.

YSL – Le Vestiaire des Parfums: Babycat

The warm, spicy, soft-luxury signature

Babycat blends vanilla, incense, pink pepper, and suede into a soft, addictive cloud.
Warm, spicy, textured — and instantly recognizable within YSL’s private collection.

My personal note:
It aligns perfectly with my love for warm, comforting signatures. Cozy yet refined, sensual yet understated. A polished second-skin scent with a French sensibility.

Personality : quiet luxury embodied in fragrance — warm, textured, effortlessly elegant.

JO MALONE – Dark Amber & Ginger Lily

The refined ritual — incense, calm, and soft darkness

Part of the Cologne Intense line, Dark Amber & Ginger Lily combines black cardamom, incense, ginger lily, and amber to create a scent that feels serene, smoky, and beautifully meditative.
Calming yet intriguing.

My personal note:
This fragrance feels like a quiet ritual — smooth, smoky, slightly mystical. It has an elegant softness that stays close to the body, almost like a protective veil. A perfect everyday dark scent that still feels fresh and elevated.

Personality : meditative, elegant, atmospheric.

ATELIER MATERI – Vanille Carbone

The smoky, gourmand, gender-neutral standout

Vanille Carbone is vanilla with structure: charred wood, mineral warmth, and a deep gourmand edge that feels both edible and elemental.
Smoky but never heavy. Sweet but never childish.

My personal note:
I discovered it at Dover Street Parfums Market in Le Marais, and instantly loved its delicious, charcoal-infused warmth. A modern gourmand with a dark, addictive twist — and beautifully gender-neutral.

Personality : gourmand sophistication — smoky, textured, contemporary.

Now I’m curious — what are your picks for 2026?

Whether it’s something new, something iconic, or a signature you return to, I’d love to hear what you’re wearing next year.
